Jan L. Kahn

Jan L. Kahn is Of Counsel to KSC. Jan has extensive experience in state and federal court litigation, mediation, arbitration, and state and federal regulatory proceedings.

Jan earned his Juris Doctor Degree at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in June 1972 and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1969 from California State University, Fresno. He is admitted to the California Bar, and to the Bar of all Federal District Courts in California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal and is also admitted to practice before the United States Federal Court of Claims, the United State Court of International Trade and the United States Supreme Court.

Jan is a member of the American Agricultural Law Association, the President’s Advisory Board for California State University, Fresno, the Board of Trustees for the San Joaquin College of Law, and the Board of Directors of the Ally Foundation. Jan is a past President of the Kings County Bar Association, and served as a Vice-Chair of the Agricultural Law Committee, General Practice Section, of the American Bar Association. He is a past member of the Board of Directors for public television station KVPT, Fresno, California, and is also past member of the Board of Directors of the Kings Art Center Foundation. Jan also served as a member of the Hanford Planning Commission, a director and board chairman for Sacred Heart Hospital Corporation in Hanford, California, and as a director of the Kings County YMCA.

Jan and his wife Jenny reside in Hanford and have five children and thirteen grandchildren.
